The time has come. All your adventures across Wilderland have pointed you in one direction: toward Mount Gundabad and a confrontation with the terrible Dragon that roosts within. While few would openly rush into a battle with such a beast, one thing remains certain: Dagnir poses a threat to the whole of Wilderland and you must take on whatever risks are necessary to keep it safe.
 

Your mission should be complete, with both your party and Wilderland safe at last, but now you find yourself out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The Withered Heath is the first Adventure Pack in the Ered Mithrin cycle for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. After journeying up the Anduin River on the eve of winter, braving the Forest Road through Mirkwood, and plumbing the depths of the caves that lie below the Iron Hills, word of a new threat waiting high in the Grey Mountains has reached your group of heroes. This dire pronouncement has sent them in search of the Withered Heath, a long valley where Dragons are said to breed.

The sixty cards contained in Fire in the Night see you joining the people of Hrogar's Hill against an assault from the Dragon Dagnir the Terrible. Aiding you in this effort are several new player cards, including a new Silvan hero and several new allies. Only by banding together can you face down this menace and keep Hrogar's Hill from becoming a smoldering ruin.

Three new scenarios draw you north along the mighty river Anduin, through Mirkwood, and to the prosperous city of Dale. Throughout your adventures, you will find yourself faced with dangers lurking in every shadow as you struggle to protect a band of refugees who have escaped the grasp of Mordor and now seek asylum in the kingdom of Rhovanion. Battle Goblins and ravenous Spiders, explore Deep caverns, and ensure the safety of those you have sworn to protect!
